SoundCloud Cover Art Downloader — Save Artwork in Full Resolution

Browser extensions for this come and go. This SoundCloud cover art downloader lives in your browser — no install, no permission prompts, no telemetry. Paste a track URL and the result card hands you both the album cover and the uploader's avatar at the largest size SoundCloud stores.

§.01 — Drop a link

仅限公开曲目。文件供个人使用,若曲目在出售请支付给艺术家。

Hit Save artwork on the result card. The audio download buttons are optional — you can grab the image without touching them.

§.02 — Resolution

SoundCloud stores artwork at multiple sizes: large (100×100), t300x300, t500x500, and the original upload (usually 800×800 or 1000×1000). We always request the largest available — the file saved to your machine is the maximum-resolution version, not the thumbnail.

Uploader avatars follow the same pattern. Most are uploaded at 1000×1000 and SoundCloud serves them down-sized. We grab the original.

§.03 — When this is useful

  • A.

Re-tagging downloaded MP3s. If you've grabbed audio with the SoundCloud to MP3 page (or somewhere else) and the file is missing its cover art, drop the SoundCloud track URL here, save the image, and embed it via Mp3tag or Apple Music's Get Info.

  • B.

DJ track libraries. Rekordbox, Serato, and Engine DJ all read embedded artwork. Pulling the original from SoundCloud beats screenshot crops at 1/4 the resolution. For batch jobs, pair this with the playlist downloader.

  • C.

Press kits and mood boards. Promoters writing about an upcoming guest mix grab cover art for posters and social. The 1000×1000 master compresses cleanly to anything from Instagram Story to A2 print.

  • D.

Backups for artists. If you uploaded a release and lost the original artwork file, the version on SoundCloud is still the master-sized one you uploaded.

§.04 — Why not the extension

Three of the top "SoundCloud cover art downloader extension" results were pulled from the Chrome Web Store between 2024 and 2026 for stealth telemetry. The remaining one bundles an ad library that injects into unrelated sites. A web-based tool sits behind the same-origin policy and can't reach into your other browsing — it's the safer surface for what amounts to a single right-click-save replacement.
