TERMS

Plain rules, no fine print

§.01 — What this is

mp3converter is a free browser-based tool that pulls audio from SoundCloud's public streams. The service is provided as-is, no warranty, no guaranteed uptime. By using mp3converter, you accept these terms.

§.02 — What's on you

  • A.

Copyright. Audio on SoundCloud belongs to the artists who uploaded it. Saving a file for personal listening is generally tolerated; redistribution or commercial use is not. The legal answer varies by jurisdiction — that's your responsibility to know.

  • B.

SoundCloud's own terms of service apply to how their streams are accessed. Their position on third-party downloaders shifts over time. Use mp3converter in good faith — for tracks you've paid for, music you make, sets you legitimately want to study.

  • C.

Don't automate. Scraping the site with bots, hammering it from a server, or batch-saving thousands of files breaks the spirit of "personal use" and breaks our rate limits.

§.03 — What we're not responsible for

Region locks, removed tracks, partial files, browser crashes during long playlist downloads, or copyright claims brought against you. mp3converter is a thin client over SoundCloud's public infrastructure — when SoundCloud changes something, the tool may break until we adapt.

§.04 — Takedowns

Rights holders: nothing is hosted here. The audio you'd want removed lives on SoundCloud — DMCA notices and takedowns go directly to them. We do not store, cache, or rehost files.
